Networking
(POST-16 STRATEGIES/ SPES-NET) |
| Description |
"Networking
enables administrators and researchers, who often share an academic educational
background, to enter into genuine cooperation with vocational educators
and institutions. The aim of such collaboration may be mutual exchange
of information or the gathering and generation of new knowledge. Networks
are thus created to foster the emergence of socially shared knowledge constructed
from individuals' personal experience...
The
purpose of networking between vocational and academic/ general education
and working life is the enrichment of vocational and academic/ general
education programmes through mutual cooperation. Such cooperation may involve
various educational establishments and their teachers and students. The
starting point is to promote equal esteem for different learning contents.
While general education is being incorporated into vocational programmes,
it is also worth asking whether academic/ general programmes could in turn
be enriched with vocational elements." (Lasonen, 1998a, pp. 17f.) |
