Project EVALUE - Evaluation and self-evaluation of universities in Europe
Overview EVALUE had the objective of developing the knowledge of the evaluation effects on university performance. Research was based on case studies, which mainly drew on interviews, including 'cross interviews'. The project put forward three ideal-types of universities (typology). Following the analysis of several evaluation models, the model of the' pluralist, context-sensitive and dynamic evaluation' was presented. (Dubois, 1998, pp. 3, 6, 35, 36)
Insight The final report (Dubois, 1998) provides rich evidence of how the methodology was developed and applied in the course of the project.
