Innovation
and learning in the organisation |
| Outline |
Innovation
and learning in the organisation requires, as exemplified in a Portuguese
case study, a strategy of reflection on internal processes of value reconstruction. |
| Debate |
-
Learning
has to be linked to innovation in the work place; 'innovation professionals'
are essential agents in this process.
-
Cooperative
learning for the company is a valuable source of knowledge. However, in
sharing this knowledge between employees, conflicts with individual interests
may arise.
-
Ways of
how to transfer good practice need considering: How can this be disseminated
from the companies which have achieved it? How can this experience be integrated
in the receiving organisation? The first step should come from the organisation
which wants to achieve success.
-
Reciprocal
learning from one another is facilitated by local networks of organisations;
each company has to discover its own problems and solutions. the rules
between the teams/ players in a network have to be clearly specified.
