One of the main national priorities in the field of ducation and raining is related to the establishment of links between competences and skills as a result of educational and training systems and abour market requirements. In this respect the most important document is the National Strategy for Continuing Vocational Training 2005-2010, approved by the Council of Ministers. Currently the Action plan for 2005 is under implementation. 

Common priorities that are under implementation in the Action plan 2005 are as follows:

  • Improvement of access to CVT through development of national information databases for all sources available in the country 
  • Improvement of related legislative documents
  • Coordination and cooperation between line ministries and agencies in related areas: Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Labour and Social policy, National Agency for Vocational Training, Human Resource Development Centre, Branch ministries, niversities, training centres, local authorities, social partners
  • Active vocational guidance and related information initiatives at local, regional, national level
  • Quality assurance in terms of equipment, training material elaboration, teacher training courses
